R. Joe Wood, 59, of 26 Park St., Bradford, passed away, Wednesday, January 27th, 2010 at his residence.

Born October 21, 1950 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Howard M. ‘Hap’ and Marie A. (Butler) Wood. He was a 1968 graduate of Bradford High School.

Mr. Wood worked as the night manager at the Red Barn Restaurant for his parents. He then was a self employed contractor in the construction business in Bradford. He had a passion for music and was a talented musician.

He is survived by a sister, Merleen A. (Jack) Schott of Russell, a brother, Jeff (Tina) Wood of Lewis Run, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie J. Frantz, who passed away Aug. 23, 1990.

At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church to be held in the spring. Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
